Key Points:
- Enugu East lawmaker Raymond Ugwu praised Rep. Paul Nnamchi.
- He backed Nnamchi’s efforts in getting the bill signed.
- The new Agric school will aid youth, food, and local jobs.
A new school is coming to Enugu State. And it’s a big win for farmers and young folks.

The Federal University of Agriculture will now sit at Ako-Nike in Enugu East. This is all thanks to a bill pushed by Rep. Prof. Paul Nnamchi. He leads Enugu East/Isi-Uzo in the House of Reps.
Big praise from Raymond Ugwu
Hon. Raymond Ugwu, who serves Enugu East Rural in the State House, gave a huge thumbs up. He said the new varsity is “a big deal” for Enugu and all of South East.
Ugwu, who leads the House group on Youths, Sports and Security, gave this praise in a fresh press note on Wednesday. He hailed Nnamchi for having strong will and smart plans.
In his words, “I truly praise Prof. Paul Nnamchi for this huge feat. This new school will bring in fresh ideas and boost farm work. It will help our youths get school spots and grow the federal base in Enugu.”
Law now signed, school set to begin
The school’s bill got wide support in both House and Senate. It was then signed into law by President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday.
This means the new Agric varsity now has full power to start. And the plan is not just to teach — it will be a strong base for crop research and new farm tools.
ValidUpdates earlier learnt that this school aims to help farmers, aid food growth, and build jobs in Enugu and beyond.
Groups clap for the move
Experts from both school and farm groups love the plan. Many say it will help kids get into school and make farms work better.
The school is set to teach real farm skills. It will also let smart minds do farm tests and build food plans that work.
Now that the law is firm, the Education Ministry and other key groups will move in. Plans to start the school are already in gear.
