Italian-born Catholic priest Father Sandro Ferretto has officially left the ministry to marry Sharon Jepng’ok. The couple tied the knot during a vibrant traditional ceremony at Seretion Village in Baringo South. Ferretto chose to abandon his priesthood vows to pursue a new chapter of family life.

​A former Catholic clergyman has shocked his local community after stepping away from his lifelong vows. Father Sandro Ferretto left his religious duties to start a new family.

​The Italian native previously served as a parish priest in Baringo County. He met his new bride while performing missionary work in the region. The relationship quickly blossomed into a deep romance.

​A Vibrant Traditional Ceremony

​Ferretto married Sharon Jepng’ok in a colourful traditional event. She is a Tugen woman and the daughter of former councillor John Wendot.

​The celebration took place at Seretion Village in Kasiela. Family members and local friends gathered to witness the unique union. Viral images show the couple dancing joyfully at the outdoor venue.
