Covid-19: Billionaires could have given those money to commercial banks to share to Nigerians – Reno Omokri suggests

Former Media Aide to President Goodluck, Reno Omokri has said that Nigerian billionaires who donated to government as help to fight Covid-19 outbreak in the country did the wrong thing.

In a social media post, the Bayelsa native stated that those money could have been given to commercial banks to share to citizens.

In an instance, all the bank customers whose account balance is as empty as zero naira should be sent N10,000. Through that means, the money will be better utilized than entrusting them to government.

His post below;

“Instead of billionaires donating moneys to the FG, they could have given it to any top commercial bank and say ‘pay ₦10k to 100,000 Nigerians with less than ₦10k in their accounts’. You can’t trust donations to the government of General Buhari. A government that asks students to stay at home and instructs schools to feed them at school. Can an administration so confused effectively manage the donations?”
