Following the removal of the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, by the State government, a team of security personnel stormed the traditional rulers palace including the Nigerian Police and National Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC).
Recalling what was stated by the governor in a press statement read by the secretary of the state government, Usman Alhaji, had dethroned Mr Sanusi as the emir of Kano is as a alleged refusal to abide by the instructions giving to him by the State government.
It was observed that a team of the Nigerian police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, have seal-off the palace’s entrance, disallowing people from going in or out of the palace.
