A bank robbery occurred earlier today, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at First Bank PLC Mpape, Abuja.
However, the robbers were trapped inside the bank for minutes before more Police and Army were called to the robbery scene.
Meanwhile, reports have it that FCT Police Command prevented the attempted robbery at the bank.
The spokesperson of the command, ASP Mariam Yusuf, confirmed that normalcy has been restored in the area after four of the suspects were arrested and one of them gunned down.
The CP, Bala Ciroma, confirmed that one of those arrested was a staff of the bank, who was acting as an insider for the four other armed robbers.
