It marvels how people go online begging for money with so much reasons to make you help them. Though it’s somewhat exhaling to think about this.
The popularly acclaimed “online-beggars” even give conditions why you have to help them. Life mesmerises us at some point but we have to think at some point.
A recent post shared by popular Nigerian columnist, Japhet Joshua Omojuwa has got people wondering why a beggar gives you a condition to render help.

According to his post, “When asking someone for help or money, don’t say, please help me with small amount of money.” This has sparked up some worries as to why the award winning writer had to share this online.
Needless to say, some may wonder what’s wrong with the statement, while some still have to react positively as to why a beggar has to say “small amount of money”. This has to be determined by the giver, in a way that will even push him to give the beggar more than requested.
The author of Digital Wealth Book went on to conclude that “You aren’t in a position to determine whether the money is small or big. It’s the giver to determine whether it is small or not.” Well said! A little polite begging can make a beggar receive enough help than had been asked.
However, Japhet’s followers reacted on the post, where some understand that one can beg using “small amount of money” on the stance that the helper knows the range at which he/she won’t exceed.

“Nah, I guess it’s always better to State it when it’s small. This way, the helpers know his/her range and knows if he/she could help”

“In other case, I think it depends on the kind of relationship you have with that person that’ll determine how you should phrase your word.”
@aguloye_OS tweeted
“Right, and I think it’s actually better to say exactly what you need as help and not talk into the helper’s pocket saying whether it’s big or small and let the helper determine how much he/she is willing to give so as to be on a better side..”
