Big Brother Naija stars from different seasons have praised the show for changing their lives.
During a recent chat at Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s birthday party in Lagos, many ex-housemates spoke about how BBNaija gave them a big push in life.
Ebuka, who now hosts the show, said he never thought of being on TV. He used to be a lawyer. But all that changed after the show.
“BBNaija definitely made me a TV presenter,” Ebuka said. “I was never going to do this. I was supposed to be practising law somewhere today. But the house made me discover I have a gift for talking. Without it, I wouldn’t have a career on TV.”
Bisola, Elozonam, KimOprah share how the show sped up their success
Actress and singer Bisola Aiyeola shared that she already knew she’d do well in entertainment. However, Big Brother made it happen much faster.
“Big Brother Naija sped up the success I knew I’d achieve,” she explained. “It pushed me zillion steps closer to the top.”
Actor and filmmaker Elozonam agreed, saying, “Big Brother Naija elevated my brand. It gave me great exposure.”
TV host KimOprah also praised the platform. “BBNaija is amazing,” she said. “It shows you to the world. From there, the only way is up.”
Mercy, Laycon, Adekunle and Gideon credit the show for total life change
Mercy Eke, who won one of the show’s past editions, said it changed everything about her.
“BBNaija changed me, changed my brand, changed my whole existence,” she said. “I think you can see it right here.”
Podcaster Adekunle said the show gave him a voice. “Big Brother gave me a platform and made millions know me,” he added.
Winner and singer Laycon said it took his music to the next level. “It took it off the roof,” he said, smiling.
Actor Gideon Okeke got very personal with his own story.
“Big Brother Naija brought me out to the world,” he said. “Otherwise, I’d still be in the ghetto. Now you know who I is.”
