The Nigerian music stars issued public ultimatums to the executive regarding unresolved financial disputes.
Singers Shallipopi and Seyi Vibez publicly demanded a physical confrontation with music executive Damilola Akinwunmi on August 17, 2026. Shallipopi accused the executive of stealing his money and hiding from accountability. The singer also claimed he holds concrete evidence for financial crime investigators.

The ongoing financial dispute between Nigerian music stars and their former executive just reached a new level. Singers Shallipopi and Seyi Vibez publicly challenged music boss Damilola Akinwunmi, widely known as Dapper, to a physical meeting.
ValidUpdates understands that the artists took to social media on August 17, 2026, to demand immediate answers. This escalation arrives shortly after Dapper recently called for a forensic audit to clear his name. However, Shallipopi explicitly warned that he would rather face extreme consequences than let the matter fade away.
Shallipopi threatens EFCC action
Shallipopi published a series of posts targeting the executive directly. He stated that nearly ten different artists now share similar complaints about the music boss.
”This dapper guy still come online come lie,” he wrote. “U come defend ke. Dapper we are almost 10 artist now saying similar stuff. Please pay your lawyers well cause this war u go swim for gutter.”
The singer accused Dapper of running away and hiding behind a screen. He challenged the executive to meet him in court or before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Shallipopi insisted he possesses genuine evidence for the anti-graft agency.
”Dapper boys dey find u. Come outside make we talk face to face,” the artist declared. “Make we appear for EFCC. Make we appear for court since 2024 u rip me. I have not set my eyes on u,” he added. “U have been running, running and running. Hiding behind your keyboard and all the stolen money. I’m not a p—sy boy,” he noted. “I don’t come online to chase clout too. Please come outside so I don’t start looking for u.”
Burna Boy mediation fails
The dispute apparently dates back multiple years according to the artist’s claims. Shallipopi revealed that he previously sought help from Burna Boy after he demanded his missing music royalties. The older star allegedly tried to fix the financial rift between them.
”2024 when u rip me, na burna boy house I go first tell am,” he wrote. “Show am everything u Dey do me. Same burna call u to resolve the matter. But u nor wan gree resolve am,” he added. “U have been running. I give u from 2023 till now that’s 4 years. Dapper i try well well better come out o.”
Dapper reportedly refused to cooperate with the proposed peace talks. This refusal forced the artist to resume his public demands. Shallipopi ordered the executive to leave his hiding spot and face the ongoing auditors.
”I don tweet finish, mr Damilola Akinwunmi Aka dapper,” he noted. “Let’s meet and get this over with. I’m tired of this online ranting. When I have real life evidence against u with the EFCC,” he stated. “I want us to finish this. Make we forget to play smart bro. Make we forget manipulation wey u Dey do,” he added. “My auditors have been on u. I want u in my face in real life broski. I want us to end this,” he declared. “Leave your hiding spot. Tell me in my face u didn’t rip my money.”
Seyi Vibez joins the dispute
The tension grew when Seyi Vibez also directed a message at the music executive after he highlighted missing label funds. This occurred just as T.I Blaze reported forged contract signatures in a separate but related claim.
”If dapper see me for real life E fit faint,” Seyi Vibez tweeted.
Shallipopi closed his remarks by demanding an immediate end to the online arguments. He vowed to pursue the case until the very end without giving up. The singer warned that this recurring issue proves a dangerous pattern of behavior.
”For this case to die make I just die bro,” the rapper stated. “Once it’s a mistake. Two times is a coincidence. Three time it’s a pattern. Dapper come outside right now.”
