The victim explained that a man named Peter Odion scammed her. She lost a total of $60,000 while she was pregnant.
Desperate for a solution, she contacted music star Peter Okoye. She begged the singer to connect her with VeryDarkMan for public justice. Peter agreed and sent messages to the activist on her behalf.

”You see that Peter Odion guy that scammed me, I was the one that called Peter, i was pregnant then, this is my baby. I was pregnant, I called Peter and was crying of how I was scammed $60,000. Peter said, ok, he is going to talk to VeryDarkMan. I begged him to talk to VeryDarkMan. Only for very dark man to ignore Peter. That guy is wicked now. Peter was one of the people when they arrested very dark man that used his platform. Guys, I mean Peter posted on his page for EFCC to free VeryDarkMan. VeryDarkMan, not now na, the first time this man is coming out to talk, allow him to talk now. You are so wicked, you are a wicked person. I’m the person,” the distraught mother declared in the video.

The controversy started when VeryDarkMan exposed his private inbox. He showed Nigerians that he actively bounced Peter Okoye’s messages. He refused to reply to the singer about the two women needing help.
