Sowore sparked the initial outrage during an interview on News Central TV. He confidently claimed that the governor does not actually control Osun State.
”You know, what I saw in, uh, in Adeleke’s leadership is that the guy is not even in control of, uh, his government,” Sowore said.
The former presidential candidate accused the Adeleke family of running a private enterprise. He noted that the governor relies entirely on his relatives. The activist then insulted the direct intelligence of the elected leader.
”And what I know behind the scenes is, as you can see, that it’s just subterfuge. And I heard his sister is the one running the state and, uh, his elder brother, who is, uh, Davido’s father, is also… so it’s a family pretty much running the state,” the politician claimed.
”And, uh, but as a person, Ademola has nothing upstairs. I’m, I’m, you know, and I’m not sorry to say it.” The guest added this bold statement to his televised critique.
Bitter social media backlash
Davido saw a video snippet of this strict television interview on X. The famous singer immediately replied to the clip with a single insult.
”Arindin,” the singer wrote.
This Yoruba word translates directly to fool or stupid person. Sowore refused to ignore the blatant disrespect from the younger entertainer. The activist quickly launched a massive written attack against the entire family.

Exposing the political elite
Sowore turned the insult around and targeted the education of the governor. He mocked the state leader for returning to school late in life.
”The real arindin is your uncle, @AAdeleke_01, who had to go back and obtain the equivalent of a GED after he had already served as a Nigerian Senator,” the activist fired back.
The harsh critic then attacked the political choices of the Adeleke family. He claimed they supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu purely for selfish financial gain. Sowore accused the wealthy family of funding their luxury lives with public money.
”The real arindin is your uncle who chose @officialABAT as his presidential candidate, apparently hoping that political loyalty would allow your family to continue treating Osun State as a private estate to bankroll your extravagant lifestyles,” he wrote.
Sowore ended his lengthy response with a strong warning to the ruling class. He promised that angry citizens will soon rise against corrupt leaders.
”You are all part of the same rotten political establishment—oppressive, corrupt, incompetent, entitled, and feeding off the pain, suffering, and sorrow of Nigerians,” the activist declared.
