Diddy Stays Behind Bars Despite Bail Request
Sean “Diddy” Combs just got some tough news in court. He hoped to go home after nine months in jail, but the judge said no. On Tuesday, Judge Arun Subramanian denied Diddy’s bail and ruled he will stay in jail until his sentence is given.

Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, tried hard to change the judge’s mind. He said the rap mogul had already lost so much and pointed out that his twin daughters were sitting in the courtroom. “They’ve already lost their mum, Kim Porter,” he said, trying to appeal to the judge’s emotions. But Judge Subramanian didn’t budge.
Judge Cites Violence and Risk to Others
The judge made it clear why he said no. He explained that Diddy’s team could not prove that the music star wasn’t dangerous.
He also brought up a key moment from the trial. Diddy’s defence had admitted he was violent in his relationships, and a video of him beating Cassie was shown in court.
The judge also pointed to an event from June 2024. He said Diddy attacked a woman named “Jane” just months after the police raided his homes in March. This, the judge said, showed he didn’t care about the law.
Prosecutors argued Diddy was both a flight risk and a danger to others. So, even though his lawyers asked for $1 million bail, the judge refused.
Found Guilty On Lesser Charges, But Still Facing Prison
Last week, a jury found Diddy not guilty of the most serious charges: two counts of sex trafficking and one for racketeering. But they did find him guilty on two lesser counts under the Mann Act — moving someone across state lines for sex work.

The jury seemed unsure at first. Just one hour into talking it over, they asked the judge to warn Juror No. 25 to follow the rules. That signalled some disagreement, but the final decision came quickly.
Sentencing Fight Continues As Clock Ticks
Diddy’s legal team and prosecutors still don’t agree on how long he should serve. His team says the rules suggest 21 months. Prosecutors argue it should be 51 months.
For now, sentencing is planned for October 3, but Judge Subramanian is open to moving that up. A hearing to decide that will happen on July 8.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s dream of returning to his Miami Beach home on Star Island will have to wait.
