Diddy Convicted On Two Serious Federal Charges

American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been found guilty on two out of five federal charges in his criminal trial in New York City.

The court announced the verdict during a tense hearing, where Diddy appeared calm but emotional. The jury found him guilty of transporting women across state lines for sex-related purposes — a violation of the federal Mann Act.

These two charges alone could put Diddy behind bars for up to 20 years, with each count carrying a maximum sentence of 10 years.

Judge Yet To Decide If Diddy Gets Bail

Soon after the verdict was read, Judge Arun Subramanian thanked the jury and released them from duty. Diddy’s lead lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, quickly asked the court to allow his client go home until the final sentence hearing.

The judge didn’t give an answer right away. Instead, he told both sides — the defence and prosecutors — to submit legal documents explaining why Diddy should or should not remain in jail until sentencing.

Judge Subramanian said he would review both arguments and decide later whether Diddy stays in custody or gets a temporary release on bond.

As of now, the exact date for sentencing has not been fixed. The court plans to sit again later this afternoon.

Diddy Kneels, Prays, Then Gets Emotional In Courtroom

Just before leaving the courtroom, Diddy knelt down, lowered his head, and appeared to pray. Moments later, he stood up and started clapping toward the public gallery.

Many in the courtroom responded with cheers and applause, clearly showing their support for the music mogul.

While Diddy was cleared of the most serious accusations, his conviction under the Mann Act still brings serious consequences.

These charges relate to transporting people across state borders for sex-related activities, which is a major offence under U.S. law.

As fans wait to hear the judge’s next decision, Diddy now faces the reality of spending up to two decades in prison.
