A Nigerian man identified on the social networking site Facebook as Hon. Njoku Chidiebere has cried out over the attitude of her two-year-old daughter Uruaku.
Mr. Njoku noted in his post that his daughter’s attitude has always prompted maltreatment from him, which according to him, he doesn’t like. He noted that his daughter is a very smart, intelligent girl who hears and responds to everything.
The man went further to give an instance of how he has cautioned his daughter several times with a cane, but it perturbs him to see his daughter cry. However, he added that after meeting his daughter’s doctor, he was told that her daughter’s age is affecting her, and it’s normal. He only needs to be cautious about how he reacts to his daughter’s behaviors because, at the age of three, it’ll worsen.
He now asked the general public who are also parents how they cope with the parenting and training of their children.
Hon. Njoku’s post reads;
“I AM WORRIED. . . . My daughter is 2 years old, very brilliant and smart, she can talk well and says anything she wants. She hears everything and responds, infact you can have a complete conversation with her.
“But I am worried. Uruaku is exhibiting an attitude that is getting me very worried. She don’t hear “STOP”. You can’t be with Uruaku and wouldn’t shout.
“I was at home all day today because if the SIT-AT-HOME in ABA and this girl nearly dragged me into depression. I beat her countlessly and it is getting me worried.
“For instance, she takes remote and you tell her to drop it, she will drop and once you close your mouth she will take it again until you beat her.
“I don’t want to be beating her. I have a special cane for her, I threaten a thousand times and sometimes I flog a stroke. Seeing her cry pain me ooooo.
“I spoke to her doctor about it, he told me that years 2 is Called “WORRYING TWO” while 3 years is called “MAD THREE”. He told me this is just 20 percentage of the madness I will see when she is 3.
“Parents, is this normal? Is there anything I need to do to make her obey easily? How can I cope?”
