• When she couldn’t contain the tough times her granny was giving her while growing up, she left the house to fend for herself.
Angel Agnes Smith, the former Big Brother Naija season 6 Shine Ya Eye star, and reality television ex-housemate, simply known as Angel has disclosed to the general public, how chaotic his childhood was.
Angel emphasized on the fact that she didn’t grow up with her parents, because they basically have birth to her very early. So, she was only left to stay with the grandmother.
As a result of not being able to live with her granny, Angel said that she decided to leave the house, to fend for herself.
Leaving the house, she got admitted into University of Lagos, where according to her, she stayed just for two weeks. She also noted that she can’t explain how she navigated through life but she’s grateful for where she is today.
Angel said, “I think it was really chaotic growing up. You know, I went to the strictest missionary school. The standard for education there was very high. I think ‘A’ there was like 96, 97 if I’m not mistaken.
“So, yeah, and I also grew up with my granny because everybody knows my parents had me relatively early. And my granny and I didn’t really get along. I was out of the house once I was 17. I left the house.
When asked where she went to after leaving the house, Angel continued, “At the time, I had only gotten admission into University of Lagos. So, I basically started hustling for myself, I started writing for people. They will be paying me all these little breadcrumbs I’ll be using to survive, while being out of my parents house.
“I can’t really tell how I navigated my life from there, but Thank God we’re here today.”
