• After she returned, Priscilla claimed she wasn’t kidnapped or abducted by anyone, even though people taught she was in danger due to the fact she couldn’t be reached on phone through her number.
The alleged missing 22-year-old Mass Communication student of the Cross River University of Technology (UNICROSS), Priscilla Ojong, has returned and reunited with her family in Calabar.
It would be recalled that few days ago, reports by CaliTown declared Priscilla, a 300-level UNICROSS student missing. According to the report, she had supposedly travelled from Calabar to Lagos State three weeks ago on the invitation of a male friend. She wasn’t seen or heard from since she left Calabar as her phone was unreachable.
Two of Priscillia’s friends who spoke to CaliTown at the time confirmed that she travelled to Lagos on the invitation of an unknown male friend who credited her account with transport fare. One of the friends said she received a call from Priscilla informing her that she had arrived Lagos safely and will be staying over for just the weekend.
When she didn’t return, they became worried and repeatedly called her phone number but it was switched off.
Several days after, unable to reach her through calls and even text messages, the friends contacted Priscillia’s parents in
Akamkpa LGA of Cross River State. Their attempt to reach their daughter equally proved abortive so they informed the police in Calabar.
Shortly after she was declared missing, Priscilla had in a video shared on her Instagram, claimed she wasn’t missing, that her phone was faulty and that’s reason she couldn’t be reached. But her family and friends had alleged that she made the video under duress and insisted she was missing.
However, on Sunday, May 16, some photos and videos went viral on the internet showing that the young lady has returned home and reunited with her family. A photo also showed she reunited with her mom. She was seen in the video explaining that she wasn’t abducted or kidnapped, even though people taught she was in danger due to the fact that she couldn’t be reached. According to her, she was scared of coming online because of all the hate speeches and insults from social media users. But she’s okay and sound now. And needs love and support.
Meanwhile, reactions have trailed social media platforms concerning her return and many people who reacted believe she went to meet her boyfriend for sex. And she returned home after she’s done and satisfied.
