Evelyn Esin, popularly known as Eve Esin is a Nollywood multiple award-winning actress who has been active in the movie scene since 2008. She hails from Southern part of Nigeria, precisely Oron Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
Early Life and Education
Eve Esin was born in October 17, 1986 (34 years as at 2020). She grew up with her parents in Akwa Ibom and attended her primary and secondary education in her hometown, Oron where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate respectively. She later proceeded to University of Calabar, Cross Rivers State where she graduated with B.Sc. degree in Theatre Arts.
Personal Life
Eve Esin has always kept her life private until January 28, 2020 when she announced through a post on her Instagram page that she has been engaged. In a one-word caption accompanied with a photo of her engaged finger, Eve wrote, ‘Taken’.
Confirming her engagement, Eve’s colleague, Onyii Alex also took to her Instagram platform to congratulate her with the following words, “Yaaaaaa my kokomma awwww I’m super happy for you my day 1 @eveesin I tell u say 2020 Na special o. my koko is off the market.”
However, one month after Eve announced her engagement, she shared another photo on her Instagram account in February appearing to be her fiance. But she was able to share the picture showing only the man’s hand who was later rumoured to be one of the popular Nollywood producers, Magic Movies. The rumour further circulated that the man has been married with children. Since then, the actress hasn’t revealed anything about her personal life.
Also in February, 2020, Esin announced completion of her house which was built in honour of her late mom, Mary Patrick Esin who died 15 years, precisely 2005. The actress had this to say after she posted a video of the house on Instagram where she also showed her late mom’s tomb, “To God be all the glory. I finally gave you that honour i desired to give you mum. May you find rest in the bosom of the almighty. Your memories forever live on. My chattered accountant, my disciplinarian, my first love, my world. I will forever miss you. Thank you for letting God bring me into this world through you. Movie And Acting Career
Esin joined Nigerian film industry known as Nollywood in 2008 after successfully taking part in a movie audition where she was assigned a role to play. Known to have featured in over hundreds (100) movies, Eve achieved her first-ever directorial role with the Nollywood classic, Spirit.

Awards and Recognition
Eve Esin has recognizably won three major awards throughout her acting career. The first plaque was the City People Entertainment Awards for most Promising Actress in Nigeria. She won this in the year 2015. The awards event is annually organized by City People Magazine founded by Nigerian journalist, Seye Kehinde (born, Oluseye Olugbemiga Kehinde).
The second recognition and award was the Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. The Awards event was founded by veteran actress, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe.
And the third was Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA for Best Actress in a Drama. This award is an annual event popularly organized by MultiChoice.
34th Birthday, 2020
On Saturday, October 17, 2020, Eve, while marking her 34th birthday, flooded her photo and video sharing platform, Instagram with jaw-dropping photos of herself with an amazing caption thanking God for her new age.
Eve wrote; “To God alone be all the glory, honour, power, and praises for ever and ever. Thankful for life. Thankful for a new age. Thankful for all. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
