The singer said mockery makes no sense when people earn honestly

Cheque Says The Mockery Is Bitter
Cheque said the backlash against people like Peller misses the main point. He argued that hard work still matters, even when the work comes from online fame.

Why He Refused To Call Peller An Olodo
Cheque also drew a clear line when the talk turned to Peller. He said the TikToker is simply working, feeding his family, and doing what he believes in.
“Peller is a human being who is hustling hard for his family, too, like me. So if he’s feeding his family, woe to me if I say he shouldn’t do it!”
“He’s being himself, fortunately, there’s a large number of people who love it and they are dumping money in his pocket.”
“No, he’s just a human being!”
Ycee’s original “Olodo uprising” line has kept drawing reactions from singers, actors, and creators since late June. Ycee has since said the remarks were taken out of context, but the debate keeps growing around education, fame, and what Nigerians now reward online.
