Police Public Relations Officer SP Abimbola Adebisi shared the update. She says officers found the scene took place in April 2025. The video only came online this week and drew harsh words. Many people called the act rude and wrong for teens.

Police move to probe video

According to Adebisi, Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Jimoh gave clear orders. He told the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case. SCID has now taken the file from Ejigbo Police Division. Detectives will test the claims and trace each boy in the clip.

Officers invited the school head, who also owns the school. He told them the boys in the clip had left the school. The school now works with SCID to find all key facts. The Command says the next steps will be shared with the public.

This probe follows other Lagos cases that drew police action. Earlier this week, detectives ordered a forensic probe into Akingboye death. That case shows the Command’s push for quick, clear checks.

School and parents urged to guide teens

Adebisi added a firm call to schools and homes. She asked heads, teachers, parents, and guards to watch kids well. She says they must teach right acts and kind moral values. She warned that bad acts can spark anger and harm school peace.

The Command says work on the case is still on. SCID will sift each frame and speak with more people soon. “We will share the end of the probe with all,” she added. The aim is to stop a repeat of such acts in any hostel.

Police also noted fresh child safety news in the city. This month, officers said they found a missing man safe in Lagos. Read how they tracked him in Odera Mbadiwe found in Mile 2. The Command says tips from the public still help a lot
