​Law firm Olaniwun Ajayi LP sent the formal document to Afolabi Oluwaseyi Balogun. They act as legal representatives for Hilda Effiong Bassey.

​The letter highlighted specific statements published from his official verified account. The first post appeared at exactly 1:24 PM West Africa Time. The singer targeted the chef with a harsh accusation.

​Her lawyers argued that these actions constitute libel and violate cybercrime laws. They outlined five specific actions the singer must take immediately.

​The team ordered him to permanently remove the publications from his accounts. They also demanded a clear and public apology across his platforms. He must instruct his fans to cease any harassment towards the chef.

​The firm gave him a strict three day deadline to comply. He must provide a written undertaking confirming his total compliance.

​Lawyer Olatoyosi Alabi signed the official notice on August 15, 2026. She warned that the team will pursue further legal steps otherwise. The chef fully reserves all her rights in this ongoing case.
