Nigerian content creator Caramel Plug has finally broken her silence on the viral AI photoshoot drama. The internet star faced massive backlash after fans accused her team of art theft.

On August 21, 2026, she sat down for a raw interview on the Pulse Drink or Spill show. She used the platform to clear her name and confront the brands that mocked her.

Denying the photo theft claims

Critics recently dragged the creator over a controversial AI project. Social media users claimed she copied an exact 2019 shoot by Nollywood actress Tony Tones. The backlash grew so intense that she had to set the record straight.

”We did not do that for sure, like 100%,” the creator stated. She fiercely rejected the rumor and questioned where the false claims originated.

Calling out corporate cyberbullying

The interview also touched on the toxic Olodo Uprising internet trend. Trolls and big companies intentionally misused her photos to mock her online. Caramel Plug did not hold back when naming the guilty parties.

She specifically pointed fingers at Silverbird Cinemas for fueling the hateful trend. However, she confirmed that the cinema brand later reached out to offer a full apology.
