Tensions peaked after Phyna released an explosive video. The reality star claimed her former friend plotted to hijack a massive deal. Phyna had previously threatened to assault the influencer over the dispute.
Setting The Record Straight
Ashmusy took to her Instagram story on August 27, 2026, to clear her name. She shared a direct statement to address the growing controversy.
”I’d rather not say anything but that kind of silence has let Toomany narratives fly far in the past,” she wrote.
The content creator insisted she only wanted to protect her peace. She noted that she will not speak on the matter again. She wants to end the rumors now.
”I don’t want to be in that space anymore so this is the first and last I’ll say,” she declared.
She directly addressed Phyna in the next slide. Ashmusy firmly denied any malicious plans against the former BBNaija winner.
”Phyna I never asked anyone to drop you , neither did I advocate for your downfall in any way,” she stated.
The True Cause
The influencer explained her delayed response to the boxing organizers. She said she simply needed time to think about the offer. Her hesitation was never about malice.
”You approached me and I sincerely wasn’t sure, I have been contemplating since then till date hence my delayed conclusion,” she noted.
Ashmusy revealed she did not want to fight a friend. She simply asked the team for a different opponent.
”However, I did mention to them that ‘if at all I’ll do it, I’d rather fight with someone else’ not out of spite, I had my reasons which Included that I was cool with you and wasn’t comfortable fighting you,” she explained.
Walking Away Entirely
The organizers reportedly agreed to find her a new match. Ashmusy confirmed she was traveling and remained unsure about participating. She was very busy with her trip.
”I asked the organizers if this was allowed and they gave me permission to find another match. (I was still unsure and busy with my trip while at this)” she added.
Ashmusy acknowledged why Phyna might feel upset. Despite this, she stressed that she never meant any harm.
”However I understand your pov but that wasn’t my intent at all,” she clarified.
To end the dispute, Ashmusy announced her total withdrawal. She wants to focus on her personal life instead. The drama became too toxic for her brand.
”As of now, I am completely uninterested in the match and I have opted out completely,” the star confirmed.
