Singer’s lawyers deny a £4,106 debt claim and accuse the promoter of false posts
Timi Dakolo’s legal team has denied Otis Ayodele Kubeyinje’s claim that the singer owes £4,106 for a planned UK tour. In a letter dated 18 July 2025, the lawyers said Revolve Entertainment missed key tour duties, spread false claims online, and faced a cease and desist demand.

Timi Dakolo has pushed back after Otis Ayodele Kubeyinje, known as DJ Timmy, accused him of owing money over a proposed UK tour.
The clash follows an earlier DJ Timmy row, which had already spilled into public view. Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy in Lagos Island sent the reply on 18 July 2025.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I don wake!” Dakolo wrote on Instagram.
The letter also called Kubeyinje “Baddest Dj Timmy”. It said Dakolo had been called “thief”, “bloody arrogant” and “evil”.
Why the lawyers rejected the bill
The letter said the alleged debt covered venue work, graphic design, domain registration and website fees. It also listed video editing, visa deposits and consultation fees.
It said Dakolo denied the claim outright. The letter also said no deposit was due to Dakolo.
What the agreement says
The lawyers said Revolve Entertainment took on venue booking, sound, lighting, technical work and local production.
They also said the promoter took flight, hotel and transport costs. The letter said those costs were not refundable, unless Dakolo first approved them.
It added that the tour never went ahead because the promoter failed on key production needs.
Cease and desist warning follows
The letter accused Kubeyinje and Revolve Entertainment of privacy breaches, cyberstalking, harassment and blackmail. It said the posts also exposed Dakolo’s private home details.
The lawyers demanded that the duo stop the posts, remove the claims, retract the statements and apologise within seven days. They also warned of legal steps in Nigeria and the UK.
The letter was also copied to the general public and Babatunde Isaac Adewoyin.
