Nollywood star confronts an online troll over false paternity and divorce claims involving her husband
Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe threatened legal action on July 22, 2026, against an online user who fabricated a story about her husband. The troll falsely claimed actor Lateef Adedimeji filed for divorce after a DNA test revealed he was not the biological father of their triplets.

A fake internet rumour sparked serious anger from Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe on Wednesday. A social media user posted a completely false story about her marriage to actor Lateef Adedimeji.
The viral post falsely alleged that Adedimeji filed for divorce over a failed paternity test. Mo Bimpe quickly dismissed the claims on her page. She also promised severe legal consequences for the creator.
Anatomy of a fake story
The drama began when an X user named @iam_Mardiyyah shared a deleted post containing shocking allegations. The user claimed Ilorin General Hospital rejected Adedimeji’s blood donation for one of their purported triplets.
”Popular Nigerian actor Lateef Adedimeji has filed for divorce from his wife after the Ilorin general hospital rejected his blood donation for one of the triplets, the doctor claimed their bloods do not match and this triggered a paternity confirmation which led to the 40 years old actor to carry out a DNA test on the children, result shows that Lateef is not the biological father of the kids 💔” The online troll wrote on X.
The user paired these false claims with artificial intelligence images. These fake photos showed the actors holding newborn triplets.
Mo Bimpe had already debunked similar fake images back in May. This mirrors the drama when actress Toyin Abraham fought cyberbullies last year. The false reports crossed a major line for the family.
Actress issues stern warning
Mo Bimpe took to her Instagram Story on July 22, 2026, to express her intense frustration. She warned critics to stop dragging her children into malicious online narratives.
”I don’t want to hear ‘justice for whatever your stupid name is’ by the time I am ready for you! You silly trolls have constantly trolled me on these platforms for years&ive been quiet, but what I wouldn’t take is you bringing your stupidity to my children!!! Be warned! I won’t hesitate to take the right actions if need be 👍”
The actress declared on her Instagram Story. The screen capture reveals her direct response to the fabricated pictures. She expressed total shock at the audacity of the original poster.
”It’s the nerve to post fake/Ai pictures together with fabricated lies for me! Such effrontery!”
Mo Bimpe added in a separate caption. The celebrity couple married in December 2021 and have faced unfair public criticism before. Last year, Adedimeji revealed that some online critics mocked his wife over childbirth. They continue to stand strong against online toxicity.
