Journalist Kemi Olunloyo has weighed in again on the 2Baba marriage saga with a fresh set of Instagram Stories. In the posts, she claims 2Baba (Innocent Ujah Idibia) left one painful chapter only to enter an even harsher union with his new wife, Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru (Natasha Irobosa Osawaru).

Olunloyo says the veteran singer is “trapped in a useless marriage” that she believes is tied to spiritual control and drug use. She tells her followers that she shared these views about Natasha last year and feels many people ignored her at the time.
Her new comments come shortly after the singer’s recent airport drama with Natasha, where he was arrested following a clash captured on video, a case that has already stirred online debate about the couple’s relationship.
ValidUpdates earlier reported that confrontation in detail in a piece on the airport clash sparks marriage talk.
Olunloyo revives harsh claims about Natasha
In one frame from her Stories, Olunloyo alleges that the marriage is “laden with juju” and predicts it will not last once drugs enter the picture.
She suggests that fans were “blinded” by Natasha’s status as a young lawmaker from a famous Edo family and did not question her past.
She goes on to describe what she calls a former “hook-up life” for Natasha in Lagos, claiming the lawmaker once moved in certain party circles before cleaning up her image.
Olunloyo stresses that she believes in second chances but insists people should not forget where, in her words, “runs girl life” may lead.
In another Story, the journalist says 2Baba failed to investigate his new partner properly before committing to marriage.
She claims he left his ex-wife for someone she describes in very strong terms and argues that some of Natasha’s alleged past links with men in Lagos should worry fans.
Contrast with Annie and fresh online reactions
Olunloyo repeatedly compares Natasha with 2Baba’s former wife, actress Annie Idibia, hinting that the singer should have shown more patience when that marriage came under strain.
The couple’s long relationship and eventual split have already been covered widely, including when 2Face first spoke at length about the divorce and the pressure on their home.
She adds that, in her view, 2Baba moved “from frying pan into fire” by remarrying so fast. In one slide, she prays that her own sons will never marry a woman who, in her words, gets them “arrested on vacation,” a line many readers linked to the recent airport incident.
The journalist also reminds followers that she has previously clashed with fans over her style of entertainment reporting.
She insists she is not an anonymous blogger and calls herself their “best investigative entertainment journalist,” arguing that people only listen to her when later events confirm her claims.
Claims remain unverified as saga grows
Olunloyo’s posts arrive on the same weekend that other voices have taken sides in the wider 2Baba and Natasha debate, from friends who say the lawmaker is affecting his career to online users who feel he abandoned Annie for a rougher relationship. ValidUpdates earlier covered one such angle where a friend claims Natasha blocks music growth.
Another recent story highlighted how political figure Maryam Laushi mocked the singer for, in her view, leaving a long-time wife for a toxic arrangement, a piece that added more pressure to the couple’s public image. That reaction was detailed in our report on Maryam Laushi mocks 2Baba for leaving wife.
As at press time, neither 2Baba nor Natasha has replied directly to Olunloyo’s latest round of claims. Her Stories also do not show any proof beyond her own narration of past events, and ValidUpdates has not independently verified the serious accusations she raises about drug use or the lawmaker’s earlier life.
The new posts, however, underline how closely fans are watching every move in the singer’s personal life since his split from Annie and his fast-moving romance with Natasha.
With a baby recently welcomed into the home and repeated online debates over the new marriage, many will be waiting to see whether anyone in the couple’s camp responds to Olunloyo or chooses to ignore the fresh noise.
