Nigerian writer and life coach Solomon Buchi has weighed in on the growing talk around actress Regina Daniels and her husband Senator Ned Nwoko, saying Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, bears much of the blame for her daughter’s situation.

In a recent social media post, Buchi criticised Rita for allowing her teenage daughter to marry a much older man. According to him, consenting to a 19-year-old marrying someone old enough to be her grandfather was “ridiculous”. He added that Regina was still a child when she tied the knot with the politician in 2019.
Regina Daniels’ recent post on her marriage has renewed online discussions about her relationship with Nwoko, with several fans revisiting her early marriage years.
Buchi stated that while Regina may have been driven by youthful excitement and material desires, the final decision should have rested with her mother. “Regina was just a teenager,” he said, adding that her mother should have taken more responsibility and listened to the warnings of Regina’s father.
Buchi urges Rita to seek peace
The writer advised Rita Daniels to put pride aside and make peace for the sake of her children. He said she should mobilise her family to apologise to Nwoko and end things respectfully if the marriage has reached its limit.
Buchi wrote, “She should swallow the drop of what’s left of her pride and mobilise her children to apologise to the old man, so they can peacefully part ways because it’s already embarrassing enough.”
Earlier reports on Regina’s family tensions showed that her father had publicly disagreed with her marriage in 2019, warning that she was too young.
The post, which has gained wide attention online, ended with Buchi’s reflection: “May God give children wise parents.” Many social media users have since debated his view, with some agreeing that Rita Daniels pushed her daughter too early into a complex union, while others believe Regina made her own choice
