Nollywood veteran Rita Edochie has cautioned women dating married men. She said many such ties start as jokes but end badly.

In an Instagram post, the actress mocked a side lover recently sidelined. She said the married man only used her to “pepper” his wife. Edochie’s tone followed her earlier warning to ladies.
She explained that some men swear with their children for quick pleasure. Yet once the wife notices, the man quickly retreats. The side lover is then left with shame and no gain.
Edochie added that this kind of man still fears his home. He may chase “another soup” outside but he respects his first house. Her message was clear: the wife is still the main person.
Her message to side-chicks
The actress said trouble begins when the side partner wants to “collect” the husband. She warned such women against charms or pressure. According to her, anyone who drags a married man will “collect” disgrace.
She urged young women to think of their own peace. Secret love, she said, brings stress, gossip and heartbreak. It is safer to stay away from people’s homes.
Call for peace and dignity
Edochie also spoke to her fans about Nigeria’s daily stress. She urged them to laugh, stay happy and avoid toxic bonds. She closed the note with a new-month blessing.
The film star has pushed similar family-centred posts in recent weeks. In September she stressed loyalty to one’s home in a strong marriage and patience message. Her latest post keeps that same line of thought.
For her, the point is simple. Married men should honour their vows. Women should not risk their peace for short, risky thrills. She believes patience and self-respect still win
