Veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu has recalled her toughest health year. She said the Lagos State government under Babatunde Raji Fashola stepped in first during her kidney crisis.

The account mirrors other Nollywood health stories this month, including Adesua Etomi’s surgery scare.
Lagos moved before hometown help
Nwosu spoke in an interview with actress Ayo Adesanya. She explained that help from Lagos came before support from her Igbo circle.
According to her, that early move kept her alive.
She said a woman named Funke arranged a meeting with then governor Fashola. The governor, she added, did not delay any approval. His office, through the state, funded the first phase of her care.
Nwosu stressed that her illness was already critical at the time. She said Lagos “stood there” for her when rumours claimed she was abandoned. That, she noted, was why she chose to speak now.
Fashola ensured full treatment
The actress further revealed that Fashola did more than send money. She said the state arranged good doctors in Nigeria and outside. She was surprised because she had never met him before then.
Nwosu added that support from Igbo stakeholders came afterwards.bShe mentioned former Senate President Pius Anyim as one of those helpers. She thanked him for reinforcing the Lagos intervention when it mattered.
Her story also matches recent celebrity health clarifications, like 2Baba’s medical-emergency denial. Nwosu said such quick corrections stop false stories from spreading. She urged fans to confirm news before sharing it
