Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has reflected on her transition from engineering to acting, saying the entertainment industry is more demanding than the technical world. She explained that while engineering follows structure and rules, acting stretches both creativity and endurance.

During her appearance on the Bold Enough To Say It podcast, the actress said many people assume the profession is glamorous without realising the intense effort it requires. She stated, “I have been an engineer and I have been an actor. No offence to my colleagues in engineering, but being an actor is much more tasking.”

According to her, the physical strain, long hours on set, and emotional intensity make acting one of the toughest professions. Etinosa Idemudia recently opened up about balancing her mental health amid industry pressure.

Idemudia added that while engineers usually close their workday by 5 p.m., actors often work late into the night, sometimes in extreme conditions. She urged the public not to look down on entertainers simply because their work appears glamorous.

Beyond her acting career, Idemudia has been involved in advocacy for women in the creative sector. She continues to challenge stereotypes around the seriousness of film professionals. Her comments add to recent conversations among Nollywood actors  about the hidden costs of stardom and production stress
