BBNaija Tuoyo has alleged he was beaten by NDLEA officers after a weekend sweep at Proxy Nightclub in Lagos.

The reality star posted a video in which he appeared sore as he recounted the incident. He said officers moved him and other guests to the agency’s office for screening.
In a long caption, Tuoyo wrote that he could not sit or lie because of pain in his head, back, legs and hands. He described the operation as intimidating and humiliating, claiming his rights were trampled.
The claims follow a weekend sweep at the venue reported in our Proxy Lagos nightclub raid report.
What he alleges
Tuoyo says the ordeal began inside the club and continued at the NDLEA office. He summarised the night with, “Nigeria finally happened to me,” while also alleging officers “beat me like a criminal.”
He further claimed there is “no single freedom of speech,” framing his post as a plea for accountability.
What we know so far
As at press time, the NDLEA has not issued a statement on Tuoyo’s specific claims. The agency typically screens all detained party-goers after such raids before deciding next steps.
ValidUpdates will seek the agency’s side and update with any formal response or clarification, including developments tied to the earlier Tuoyo arrest claim.
Background and context
The reported sweep at Proxy Lagos formed part of wider weekend enforcement actions in the city. Tuoyo’s account suggests the operation escalated into alleged assault, leaving him unable to rest due to body pains.
He says others present also faced harsh treatment and intimidation, and he urged followers to pay attention to alleged rights abuses.
