Hours before, he met the Ogbelaka king in Benin. He says they talked about the bad Dangote truck road. The activist urged a plea to Aliko Dangote for repairs. That talk set off the trip that led to the clash.

Trip shifts to a lonely Akute–Benin road

After the palace visit, the king offered a driver and a cop. Their own driver had refused to go on. However, VDM says he later convinced that driver to return. The team then chose the Akute–Benin road.

He notes that the route looked calm and too quiet. Soon, cars and buses turned back with sharp warnings. Drivers yelled that kidnappers stood up the road. Still, his convoy kept going fast.

Gunshots ring out, then the soldiers drive away

VDM says he told the cop to fire in the air. The goal was to scare thugs and clear the way. A military convoy then showed up and fired too. At the time, he felt relief wash through the car.

However, he says the soldiers drove off at once. No checks, no aid, no chase, just brake lights. “They stabbed me in the back,” he says in pain. He claims they chose a VIP’s safety over lives.

He adds that his team faced great risk there. One cop and a single gun could not hold ground. If thugs had rushed out, things might have gone dark. That fear still sits heavy in his voice.

Cash gift goes to the victim’s care

Later on, the team found a man with ear wounds. A bullet, he says, went through the ear to the brain. He helped lift the man to a nearby hospital. He says staff took him in for quick care.

VDM adds that the man still fights to live. He shows a skull image and a brief doctor note. He also says he paid the fuel cash there. The king’s gift, he claims, went straight to treatment.

Crowds stood by with phones as events moved fast. He yelled at them to drop the screens and help. “Focus on life first,” he told the tense crowd. Some still filmed while others finally helped lift.

Meanwhile, fans hail the bold run and quick aid. Critics ask why he filmed and posted the chase. The debate keeps his name hot on social feeds. Earlier coverage set the stage for this update.
