Key Points:
- A page named “the story of an angel” shared a chat. It is alleged to be Omah Lay’s burner account.
- The chat with Rema dates 16 December 2023, not today. It shows talk of a collab and fast “tempo” plans.
- Posts on the page also claim deep hurt and new resolve. They add symbols, vows, and shade at “Mara sound.”
Drama rose on Tuesday, 12 August, across X and Instagram. An account called the story of an angel posted a screen of a chat.

The page is alleged to be Omah Lay’s burner account. However, the chat looks out of order in the screen.
The chat stamp reads 16 December 2023. It shows Omah Lay and Rema talking about a joint song.
At the time, he said he and Rema could lift the “tempo.” He felt Nigerian music moved “too slow” then.
Meanwhile, blogs rushed to share the clip and text. Pulse Nigeria noted the date and the collab talk.
The Tattle Room added a bold claim from the page. It said Rema took an idea Omah Lay once shared.
ValidUpdates earlier reports covered a linked story on this saga. We reported Donawon’s split from Omah Lay and the Kaestyle drag.
Leaked burner chat and mixed timeline
Viewers point out the chat screen is not in sequence. Lines jump, so replies do not sit in the right place.
Even so, the date remains clear on the post. The chat is from late 2023, not a fresh exchange today.
Claim of idea theft and talk on “tempo”
In one shared line, Omah Lay pushed a joint plan. He felt only he and Rema could “up the tempo.” Soon after, the burner page hinted at idea theft. The Tattle Room wrote that the idea went on an album.
Posts from the burner page spark more heat
The page also wrote a long note on healing. “With love, well-being, and clarity, I have healed,” it said.
It said he paused shows and new songs for his health. It pointed to a shaky look at Brussels Fest on 28 June.
The note broke down odd stage symbols. Bandage meant “healing.” Ragged wear meant “mental stress.” A nun cap signalled “spirit search” and “inner truth.”
Later on, the page vowed to act when pushed. “I will not beef,” it said. “I will not hate.” “I will only do what is needed,” the note added.
In addition, the page shared a Zikoko piece on Mara sound. The text called it fast, raw, and street made.
Fans read that as shade at Rema’s sound and wave.
However, none of the claims come with firm proof yet. The label and Rema have not replied at this time. Until then, fans wait for clean, full context from both stars.
