A top aide to the Delta State Governor, Ovie Success Ossai, has slammed Davido and Chioma’s white wedding in Miami.

He said the event, set to happen this weekend, is a huge waste of money and makes no sense.
“This is not wise,” says Ovie
In a short post shared on Facebook, Ovie said, “Davido and Chioma’s white wedding this weekend in Miami is a waste of money and I am disappointed.”
He added, “Having too much money doesn’t mean you should carelessly spend it.”
He also questioned why a white wedding is even needed.
“What is the essence of white wedding in Florida when your lavish traditional marriage is over a year?” he asked.
Ovie ended the post by saying, “I am really disappointed.”
Critics and fans clash online
Ovie’s comment has drawn mixed reactions on social media.
Some fans agreed that two big weddings might be too much.
Others defended Davido, saying he has a right to celebrate how he wants.
Meanwhile, many called it jealousy or bitterness toward the singer’s success.
Wedding plans continue as planned
Despite the backlash, the couple’s plans remain unchanged.
Davido and Chioma are already in the United States with their 30BG crew.
As earlier reported by ValidUpdates, they flew out this week to prepare for the wedding in Miami, Florida.
Their first traditional wedding took place on June 25, 2024, in Lagos.
