Wizkid Breaks Record With ‘Morayo’ on Spotify Nigeria
Nigerian superstar Wizkid has made history again. His latest album Morayo pulled in a record-breaking 12.12 million streams on Spotify Nigeria within just 24 hours of release.
This makes Morayo the most-streamed album on its first day in the country’s Spotify history. Fans were clearly excited, and they wasted no time showing their love for the project.

Close behind is Davido’s 5ive, which recorded 9.29 million streams on its debut day. Asake also came in strong, landing third with Lungu Boy, which racked up 5.88 million first-day plays.
Burna Boy and Olamidé Score Multiple Spots on the Chart
Burna Boy, never one to miss a milestone, appeared twice on the list. His latest album NSOW pulled in 5.03 million streams, while his earlier project I Told Them gathered 2.93 million.
Meanwhile, Olamidé continues to show his staying power. His self-titled album Olamidé got 4.98 million streams, landing him a top-five position. The rapper also appears further down with ikigai (1.86M) and Unruly (1.81M).
Davido appears again on the list with Timeless clocking 4.91 million streams. BNXN’s Captain secured a decent 3 million streams on release day, showing the artist’s rising popularity.
Other Stars Who Made the List
Rema’s HEIS earned 2.71 million first-day streams, followed by Zinoleesky’s Gen Z with 2.45 million.
Fireboy DML came in with Adedamola at 2.31 million streams, while Asake showed up again with Work Of Art, which saw 2.27 million.
Even Wizkid’s S2 EP didn’t go unnoticed, pulling 2.08 million. These numbers prove how much Nigerian fans support their favourite stars on release day.
