VeryDarkMan Lashes Out At Lawyer Over Risk Warning
Popular Nigerian social media critic, VeryDarkMan, has slammed his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, for advising him to avoid risky actions.

The heated reaction followed Adeyanju’s post on X (formerly Twitter), where he urged VeryDarkMan to be careful. Adeyanju warned that if anything bad happened to him, Nigerians would simply move on.
“I call VDM every time to be careful and stop taking unnecessary risks,” Adeyanju wrote. “But he doesn’t listen most of the time. If anything happens to you today, everyone has moved on by tomorrow. We only overrate ourselves, Nigerians don’t rate anybody.”
“That’s Coward Talk” – VDM Reacts Strongly
VeryDarkMan did not take the comment lightly. In an emotional Instagram video, he hit back hard.
“Anybody wey open his mouth talk that thing is a coward,” he said bluntly.
He added, “I’m really disappointed in my lawyer, Deji Adeyanju. You’re a comrade. You shouldn’t say something like this. If it was just a random Nigerian, I would understand. But not you.”
“Even Jesus Died – And The World Moved On”
The controversial activist went further to challenge the idea that the world forgetting someone’s death means they shouldn’t take risks.
“It’s true, Nigerians will move on if I die today. But who won’t be moved on from?” he asked.
“Jesus Christ died, and the world moved on. The Catholic Pope died, and they replaced him. Buhari died, the world moved on. Who do you think is too special to be forgotten?”
He insisted that such statements are what politicians use to scare citizens from speaking out.
“We’re All Nothing” – VDM Refuses To Be Silenced
VeryDarkMan explained that danger doesn’t only follow activists. Even silent people get attacked in their homes.
“Some people don’t even take risks, and they still get killed. Look at what happened in Benue, Taraba, Enugu, Borno, and Delta,” he said.
“You think you’re important? We are all nothing. You add too much value to your life when you are really nothing.”
He ended his speech by vowing not to be silenced, stressing that fear won’t stop him from using his platform to speak truth.
