Former Big Brother Naija star Seyi Awolowo has said that being loyal to one woman is not easy
He claimed that the beauty of Nigerian women makes it hard for men to stay with just one partner. He added that only discipline can help a man commit to one woman.
Seyi explains why men struggle with loyalty
Seyi spoke on The Outside The Box Podcast with Femi Obong-Daniel. He compared the temptation to different dishes.
“Concentrating on one woman is difficult, especially with the amount of beauties that are out there. Nigerian women are beautiful. It’s difficult to concentrate on one woman, today you will see egusi, tomorrow efo riro, pizza and sandwich. It’s very difficult,” he said.
The reality star said it takes more than desire to be faithful. He called loyalty a gift from God.
“But the ability to be loyal to one, I think it’s a gift from God,” he added.
Self-control is key in relationships
Seyi said each person needs to know their limits in relationships. He noted that some men try to date too many women at once and fail.
“At the same time, for the individuals, it’s how you manage yourself, how you know how to be practical with yourself because some people tend to bite off more than they can chew in a lot of cases. If you can handle it [dating multiple women], handle it right but if you can’t, don’t,” Seyi explained.
His comments have drawn mixed reactions online. Some fans agreed with his view, while others said true love makes loyalty easy.
