Scott Iguma speaks out after release
Nigerian activist and online personality, Scott Iguma, has spoken up about his recent experience with the police.

He was granted ₦10 million bail on Monday, three days after being sent to prison by a Lagos State High Court. This happened after he accused real estate company PWAN of cheating customers.
Iguma later posted a video on Thursday to thank his supporters. He also used the chance to speak against the police.
Police officers blamed for unfair treatment
Iguma said his time in police custody opened his eyes. He believes the police are no longer protecting the country or its laws.
“With my experience, it’s sad to say the police are not loyal to Nigeria,” he said. “They don’t follow the law or care about justice. They only follow money.”
Claims of bribery and abuse of power
He said the police can be easily bribed. “You can offer them just a bottle of Coke,” he added, “and they’ll help jail an innocent person for a serious crime.”
He explained how the police worked against him. Iguma called it a painful and unfair experience.
He promises to keep speaking the truth
Despite what happened, Iguma said he won’t be silent. He promised to keep talking about what is wrong in the system.
Many people online have praised his courage. Others say his story shows how broken the system has become.
