Nicki Minaj Demands Jay-Z Settles “Karmic Debt”
Nicki Minaj is shaking the internet once again — this time, she’s going after rap mogul Jay-Z. The Grammy-nominated rapper made a bold claim on Tuesday, saying Jay-Z owes her hundreds of millions of dollars.

In a direct post on her X (formerly Twitter) page, Minaj wrote, “We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest. You still in my Top 5 tho. Let’s get it nigga.”
Rapper Hints Debt Stems From Tidal Equity Deal
Nicki didn’t explain exactly where the money is from. However, fans believe she’s referring to past complaints about Tidal, the music streaming service once owned by Jay-Z.
Back in 2021, Jay-Z sold Tidal to tech firm Square (now Block Inc.). At the time, he promised part of the platform’s equity to artists like Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Rihanna, and others. Yet, Minaj has hinted for years that she didn’t receive her fair share from that deal.
This latest post seems to confirm her feelings of being cheated during the sale. She also used the term “karmic debt,” which has caught many people’s attention online.
Fans React as Jay-Z Remains Silent
So far, Jay-Z has not responded to the post. His silence has led to more buzz online, with fans on both sides debating what’s really going on. Some people are supporting Nicki’s callout, while others believe she should take the matter off social media.
Still, Nicki’s message ended on a soft note. She reminded Jay-Z that, despite everything, she still respects him. “You still in my Top 5,” she wrote.
Whether it was just playful shade or a serious money issue, Nicki’s tweet has added fuel to the rumour mill. As of now, Jay-Z’s team has made no statement.
