Nollywood’s Jerry Williams Reportedly Picked Up by Police
Popular Nigerian actor Jerry Williams has been arrested.
He was taken from his home in Delta State early on Monday, July 21, 2025. Reports say police officers from Edo State came for him.

Fellow actor Stanley Ontop shared the news in a video on Instagram. He looked worried and asked fans to keep an eye on the case.
Stanley blamed a film promoter called Nwafor Franklin, also known as Izutech, for what happened.
Stanley Accuses Izutech of Involvement
In his video, Stanley gave more details.
He said Izutech brought the police and carried Jerry away to Benin. He also said Izutech has been holding back ₦2.5 million.
The money, according to him, came from producers who wanted Jerry in their movies.
Stanley wrote in his post:
“Izu went to Jerry Williams’ house in the early hours of today, 21st July 2025, and bundled him to Benin with the help of some Nigeria police. Let it be known that Jerry Williams is in Izu’s custody. If anything happens to Jerry, Izu should be held responsible.”
Fans and followers quickly began asking questions. Many want to know where Jerry is and if he’s okay.
Jerry’s Arrest Came After Rehab Return
Just days ago, Jerry Williams returned to acting.
He had spent many months away for drug treatment. His fans were happy to see him back.
Now, this sudden arrest has raised fresh worries.
So far, neither Jerry’s team nor Izutech has spoken publicly. The police have also not explained why Jerry was taken.
