Civil Case Dropped After Alleged Club Attack
Chris Brown has settled a major part of his legal troubles linked to a nightclub fight in London.
The American singer was sued by Abe Diaw, who accused him of a brutal attack at TAPE nightclub in 2023. But now, Abe has asked the court to drop the lawsuit.

In new court papers filed on Friday, Abe Diaw requested an L.A. County judge to dismiss the case with prejudice.
This means he cannot sue again for the same issue. While the exact deal remains private, such dismissals usually point to a settlement between both sides.

It’s still unclear if Chris Brown paid any money. So far, neither side has spoken about the settlement. Efforts to get comments from their lawyers haven’t yielded results.
What Diaw Accused Brown Of Doing
In his original lawsuit, Abe claimed Chris Brown smashed a tequila bottle over his head — not once, but three times.
The bottle was reportedly Don Julio 1942. Abe said that after he fell unconscious to the ground, Chris kept attacking.
He described how the singer “ruthlessly stomped” on him. The injuries, according to Abe, were serious and long-lasting.

Criminal Charges Still Loom Over Chris Brown
While this settlement ends the civil lawsuit, Chris Brown’s problems are far from over. Authorities in the UK are still pursuing criminal charges from the same incident.
In May, Brown was arrested shortly after arriving in the UK for his world tour. Prosecutors charged him with assault and possession of a weapon. He was later granted bail.
Just ten days ago, Chris appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to the charges. His legal team now prepares to defend him as the criminal case moves forward.
