Anto Lecky now works with Edo State Government
Former BBNaija star, Munirat Anto Lecky, has joined the Edo State Government as a Senior Special Assistant. She was appointed by Governor Monday Okpebholo to help grow tourism and the creative space.

Her appointment took effect on June 23, 2025. The letter was signed by Umar Musa Ikhilor, the Secretary to the State Government.
Anto is known for her work in the media and acting. She will now help promote the state’s culture and attract more visitors.
Her job includes supporting Benin Bronzes and museum projects
As SSA on Tourism and Creative Economy, Anto will help showcase Edo’s cultural treasures. This includes the return of the Benin Bronzes and new museum projects.
She is expected to bring fresh ideas to support Edo’s growing creative sector. The government hopes this move will boost local jobs and tourism.
The official letter read:
“I write to inform you that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism and Creative Economy with effect from June 23, 2025. The remuneration attached to the appointment is in line with the prevailing regulations governing the Edo State Public Service. Congratulations.”
Anto reacts to her appointment on Instagram
After the news broke, Anto shared her excitement with fans. She thanked Governor Okpebholo for trusting her.
“I am honoured to serve my state and my country in this new role,” she said.
She also spoke about Edo’s bright future in tourism and culture.
“With the return of our priceless Benin Bronzes, upcoming museum projects, and a growing creative sector, Edo is poised to become a leader in Nigeria’s tourism and cultural economy,” she added.
She has rich experience in media and public service
Anto already works as Special Assistant on Digital and New Media to Nigeria’s Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu.
She has held top roles in creative and leadership fields. She once led Nigeria’s first private basketball league as Head of Operations. She also worked as a Programme Manager at Kunle Afolayan’s Film and TV Academy.
In addition, Anto was Arts and Special Projects Lead at ElectHER, a group that pushes for more women in leadership.
