Obamas Break Silence on Divorce Rumours
Barack and Michelle Obama have finally responded to the swirling rumours about the state of their marriage.
In a new episode of “IMO” — a podcast hosted by Michelle’s brother, Craig Robinson — the former First Couple joined in for a rare conversation together. During the show, Craig joked that it was “nice to have” both of them in the same room.

Michelle quickly replied, “I know, because when we aren’t, folks think we’re divorced.”
Barack, on his part, seemed surprised that such rumours had gained traction. “Those are the kinds of things I just miss,” he said, admitting that he often doesn’t even hear about these claims until someone brings them up.
“I’m all like, ‘What are you talking about?’” he added with a laugh.
“Never Thought About Quitting On My Man” – Michelle
Michelle used the moment to express just how strong their bond still is.
“There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I’ve thought about quitting on my man,” she shared.
She continued, “We’ve had some really hard times and we’ve had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures. And I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to.”
Tabloid Talk and Public Assumptions
This isn’t the first time Michelle has spoken out against false headlines.
Just last month, she mentioned on NPR’s “Wild Card” that the public simply won’t know what goes on in their lives every single day. “Even in this phase in our lives, when Barack and I say something, right or wrong, it does get covered,” she said.
Michelle also pointed out how something as simple as not being seen in public with her husband leads to gossip.
“The fact that people don’t see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumours of the end of our marriage,” she said, slamming the baseless tabloid claims.
30 Years and Counting
Barack and Michelle tied the knot in 1992. They’ve been married for over three decades and share two daughters, Malia and Sasha.
Despite their global fame, they continue to show that strong love can survive public scrutiny, tough times, and endless rumours.
