TunesBid Drags Ayo Maff to Court Over Breach of Deal
Rising Nigerian singer, Ayo Maff, is in hot water as his record label, TunesBid Limited, has officially taken legal action against him. The label claims the singer and his team broke the terms of their recording agreement signed in December 2023.

In a public statement shared on Instagram, the label revealed that Ayo Maff remains legally bound to them. They accused the singer and his management of working behind their back and breaching their agreement.
According to TunesBid, they signed an exclusive recording contract with Ayo Maff on 3rd December 2023. The singer’s legal team from OceansTreasure Limited, represented by Oyefeso Oluwamayowa Olumide, Okolie Amobi Chiedu, and Oyefeso Ayotunde, handled the signing process.
Label Funded His Songs and Secured Distribution
TunesBid said it didn’t just sign Ayo Maff, but also poured money into his music career. The label claimed to have fully funded three of his hit singles — Street Anthem, Dealer, and 7 Days.
In addition, they helped him land a major distribution deal with Empire Distribution. The label stressed that all of this was part of their agreement and expected to be delivered within the first seven months of the contract.
But trouble started when Ayo Maff and his management allegedly began making deals outside the label. TunesBid said these actions were dishonest and violated their legally binding contract.
Promoters Warned to Stay Away
The label also sent a strong warning to show promoters and entertainment companies. They urged them to stay away from working with Ayo Maff or risk being dragged into the legal mess.
“TuneBid Limited, after several meetings, entered an Exclusive Recording Agreement with Ayo Maff on 3rd December 2023,” the statement read. “His legal team was fully involved. Yet, the singer and his management have continued to connive to defraud us by entering a dishonourable contract.”
As the legal battle unfolds, fans are now watching to see how the drama between the fast-rising singer and his label plays out.
