Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia is about to lose a lot in his ongoing divorce battle with reality TV star Porsha Williams. The couple’s bitter separation has taken a dramatic turn, as their prenup agreement is now being enforced.

The prenup, which was signed before their wedding, will reportedly cost Guobadia part of his $7 million Atlanta home and several other benefits owed to Williams.

After just 15 months of marriage, Porsha Williams filed for divorce from Guobadia in February 2024. The reason behind the breakup remains unclear, but the fight over money and property has taken centre stage.

Williams is best known for her role in The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA). Guobadia, a wealthy businessman, now says he regrets agreeing to the prenup. He blames Porsha for “misleading” him about her future on RHOA, saying she claimed she would leave the show after marriage.

The prenup agreement is a key part of this legal fight. According to US Weekly, it states that Guobadia must give Williams part of the equity in his $7 million mansion. The property is known as the Marital Residence.

That’s not all. The prenup also makes him responsible for paying big debts and other costs to support Williams. These include expenses that cover her lifestyle and legal fees.

ICE Detention Delayed the Divorce Hearing

Guobadia’s legal troubles added more drama to the case. He was taken into custody by ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) earlier this year.

Because of this, the court hearing on the divorce was delayed multiple times. Now, Guobadia has reportedly returned to Nigeria, but the legal fight continues in the United States.
