BBNaija’s Sammie Caught in ₦4.45M Scam Controversy
Former Big Brother Naija star Sammie has been accused of duping a fellow Nigerian, Emmanuel Idakoh, of ₦4.45 million in a failed attempt to secure a 2025 BBNaija slot.

The shocking claim surfaced in a viral video shared by Nigerian videographer Lucky Udu. Emmanuel, also known as Young Barby, narrated how Sammie allegedly promised to help him join the next season of the reality show.
“I Sold My Car and Took Loans” – Victim Speaks Out
In the video, Emmanuel broke down how he sent huge sums of money to Sammie over time. He explained that the Season 6 housemate kept requesting additional payments, even advising him to take a loan.
“After my first payment, Sammie asked for another ₦1 million,” Emmanuel recalled. “He told me he already used his own money and I should pay him back.”
At one point, Emmanuel said he was forced to offer his car as collateral for a loan of ₦1 million. The loan had a repayment clause of ₦1.5 million.
“He promised I would gain much more in return,” Emmanuel continued. “But in the end, I sold my car just to clear the loan.”
The most painful part for Emmanuel wasn’t just the money, but the betrayal. “I wasn’t scammed by a stranger,” he said emotionally. “This is someone I saw as my brother.”
Silence from Sammie as Nigerians React Online
As of the time of this report, Sammie has not publicly responded to the accusations. Attempts to contact him by reporters have gone unanswered.
Meanwhile, the scandal has sparked a wave of anger across social media. Nigerians flooded Sammie’s Instagram page with harsh comments, accusing him of fraud and betrayal.

One user, @magold.glitzhairs_backup, wrote, “Thiefff refund his money, ole!” Another, @_onaz, blasted Sammie saying, “Why dupe your own brother ₦4.5 million? 95% of BBNaija ex-stars are broke!”
Others warned him to pay up before things got worse: “Your life don dey outside,” a user said. “Better go refund person hard-earned money. Street go tire you.”
From disappointment to rage, Nigerians are demanding accountability from the reality TV personality. As Sammie remains silent, public pressure continues to mount for a full explanation — and a refund.
