Key Points:

- Lawyer Emeka Ugwuonye says Judy Austin may face legal action for adultery.
Emeka Ugwuonye, the lawyer representing May Yul-Edochie, has cleared up rumours about her divorce from Nollywood actor Yul Edochie.
In a Facebook post made on Saturday, 24 May 2025, the lawyer confirmed that the divorce is still in progress. He explained that a lot of work has already been done behind the scenes.
This update comes just a day after Yul Edochie welcomed a new baby with his second wife, Judy Austin. The news brought fresh attention to the family’s ongoing drama.

Yul shocked many fans months ago when he publicly introduced Judy as his second wife. This led to heavy criticism and made May take legal steps to end the marriage.
May’s Divorce Still Ongoing
Ugwuonye said that while many people are focused on when the divorce will be final, there are other important issues already handled.
He stated that the legal team has made great progress in areas like child custody, child support, visitation, and property sharing.
“The divorce is not over yet, but we’ve taken care of many important things,” he said. “May is not stuck in the marriage.”
May is Free and Doing Fine
The lawyer made it clear that May is free to live her life. She is not waiting for the court to finish before moving on.
“She is in control of her life and the family home,” Ugwuonye said. “Remarrying is not even a goal for her now.”
He added that May is focused on raising her children and staying strong through the situation.
Public Urged to Stop Pressure
Ugwuonye also criticised those who keep asking about the timeline of the divorce. He said such pressure doesn’t help and is mostly driven by gossip.
“People should allow the court to do its job. May needs peace and support, not more noise,” he said.

He revealed that the next step is getting the court to fully end the marriage. They also plan to ask for damages from Judy Austin for allegedly committing adultery with Yul.
Mixed Reactions Online
The lawyer’s Facebook post got many comments from fans. Some praised him for speaking up, while others focused on Judy Austin.
One user, Ezewosi Odiaka, wrote: “Hope the fine go loud o, because she and Yul don too do.”
Another, Didi Kaks, said: “Very well explained. So long as May and her children are fine, the rest is history.”
Mhiz M J Udoka added: “Queen May is smart. Let her focus on her kids. Marriage shouldn’t be the focus now.”
