In a dramatic turn of events, popular Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has found herself at the centre of a social media storm, following accusations from a fashion designer regarding an unpaid debt.
The designer, who goes by the handle @stitchesbyandra, publicly called out Abraham and two others including singer 2baba’s wife Annie Idibia, alleging they owe her millions of naira for over a year.
Unpaid Debt Accusation
In an Instagram story, @stitchesbyandra expressed her frustration, stating, “@toyin_abraham @annieidibial @gabrielanthonys, my patience is running out already. 1 year and 2 months. How can you be with someone’s millions and feel so reluctant?” This post quickly gained traction online, leading to a wave of reactions from the public and fans of the actress.

Toyin Abraham’s Response
Toyin Abraham wasted no time in addressing these allegations. Late on Friday night, she took to her Instagram account to clarify the situation. “Hello everyone, I want to address the recent allegations about an unpaid debt to a fashion designer. The situation has been completely misunderstood,” she stated.
The actress explained that the issue arose during the production of her film *Malaika*, which required various dresses for a runway scene. She revealed that they had reached out to several designers for assistance, including the one who made the allegations. “Gabriel, who was part of the team, mentioned that a friend of his also wanted to contribute some dresses, and she did. I even bought a hairpiece from her, for which I paid in full,” she continued.
The Clarification
Toyin Abraham went on to explain that the dresses provided were borrowed specifically for the film shoot. Once filming concluded, she returned the dresses to Gabriel, who had originally facilitated the borrowing process.
“Upon seeing the online allegations, I called Gabriel immediately for clarification,” she added. “Gabriel confirmed that he had informed the designer that the dresses had already been returned to him and were subsequently borrowed by someone else. Therefore, it is no longer my responsibility. I hope this clears the confusion.”

As the situation unfolds, fans and followers are eager to see how it will develop further.
Toyin Abraham’s quick response and detailed explanation aim to put an end to the speculation and restore her reputation amidst the controversy.
