Nightlife Promoter Shares His Goals and Challenges After Leaving the Show
Benjamin Olufemi, fondly known as Ben, has opened up about his recent journey after being evicted from the Big Brother Naija season 9 show, titled ‘No Loose Guard’.
The nightlife promoter, who took the bold step of relocating from the United Kingdom to Nigeria, expressed his desire to leverage the show’s platform to boost his business ventures.
He was officially evicted on Sunday, but his aspirations remain strong.
In an exclusive interview with journalists on Wednesday, Ben explained that the decision to participate in the renowned reality programme was part of a strategic business move.
“First and foremost, I’m not doing a 9 to 5 job,” he stated. His partnership with fellow housemate Tjay was a significant factor in his decision to join the show. “If I was tied down to a 9 to 5 job or on a student visa, I wouldn’t have come at all,” he said.
Ben is currently a permanent resident in the UK, allowing him the freedom to invest his time in nightlife events on weekends.
He believes that his participation in Big Brother Naija would give him the exposure he needs to elevate his party organising business.
“I came for Big Brother to push my nightlife 100%. I want to sell myself and attract a larger audience to my events,” he explained.
His slogan, “Action Ben, no party,” has already begun circulating among viewers and fans, demonstrating his intent to make a lasting impression.
Facing Challenges Head-On
Despite the excitement of being on a popular TV show, Ben faced significant challenges before making the move. He candidly shared, “The most difficult part for me was that I had to pay all my bills before coming.”
This determination to settle his financial obligations reflects his commitment to pursuing his dreams without looking back.
Ben’s passion for nightlife and event organisation shines through his words. By sharing his story, he hopes to inspire others to step outside their comfort zones and chase their ambitions, no matter how daunting the journey may seem.
As he embarks on this new chapter post-Big Brother, the industry will be watching closely to see how this charismatic promoter capitalises on his newfound fame.
