Durov recounted how, fifteen years ago, a close friend approached him with an unusual request. The friend and his wife were facing fertility issues, and they asked Durov to donate his sperm to help them conceive a child. Initially, Durov found the request humorous, but soon realized the seriousness of the matter and agreed to help.
Upon visiting the clinic for the procedure, Durov learned from the clinic’s director that there was a significant shortage of high-quality sperm donors. The director persuaded him to donate more sperm, arguing that it could anonymously assist numerous couples struggling with infertility. 🤰Fast forward to 2024, my past donating activity has helped over a hundred couples in 12 countries to have kids. Moreover, many years after I stopped being a donor, at least one IVF clinic still has my frozen sperm available for anonymous use by families who want to have kids 👧
