- Nasty Blaq, a Nigerian skit maker, was accused of mocking his colleague, Lord Lamba, in a skit with BBNaija star Queen Mercy Atang.
- Critics blamed him for using Lamba’s predicament as a means of comedy, while some extended the blame to Queen for accepting to mock her ex-lover and father of her daughter.
- Nasty Blaq, however, debunked the claims, stating that the skit had nothing to do with his colleague Lamba. The skit itself was an old video that he had never posted and was shared around the time Lamba and Queen were having issues.
Nasty Blaq, a popular Nigerian skit maker, has found himself amid controversy following a skit he performed with Queen Mercy Atang, a BBNaija star who recently got engaged. The skit, which has been the subject of much criticism, was accused of making a mockery of Lord Lamba, Nasty’s colleague who is also the father of Queen’s child and is currently embroiled in a custody battle.
In the skit, Nasty and Queen acted out a scenario where Nasty suggested that Queen should terminate her pregnancy. However, they changed their minds after learning that the abortion would cost a staggering 11 million naira. They decided to keep the baby, who was later born.
Critics of the skit have accused Nasty and Queen of using Lord Lamba’s situation as a means of comedy, with some going as far as blaming Queen for agreeing to mock her ex-lover and the father of her child. The controversial skit has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many calling for an apology from Nasty and Queen.
In response to the backlash, Nasty Blaq took to his Instagram Live to clear the air. He stated that the skit had nothing to do with Lord Lamba and that it was an old video that he had never posted before. He revealed that it’s unfortunate he had to share it at this time when Lord Lamba and Queen are having issues.
It should be noted that after Queen announced her engagement to her new lover, David, Lord Lamba shared photos of their daughter, making it clear that he is her father. He also released legal documents seeking full custody of the child, stating that he does not want another man to raise his child.
The controversy surrounding the skit highlights the sensitive nature of issues surrounding pregnancy, abortion, and custody battles. It also underscores the need for actors and comedians to be more mindful of the messages they convey in their skits and performances, especially in situations where children are involved.
