Nollywood director, and film maker, Austin Faani Ikechukwu, who happens to be the husband to Nollywood actress, Charity Eke has broken silence, following his wife’s decision to call it quits in their marriage.
Recall that ChaCha, as she’s widely known took to her Instagram page 24 hours ago, Monday, June 27 to announce that she’s finally separating from her husband, after second time in two years she’s complaining about her marriage.
However, taking to his Instagram page hours later, Mr Faani noted that he’s not a violent person and he personally detest violence in any form.
He further mentioned that he had never raised his hands on any woman in his life, including his wife Charity, adding that everyone close to their family knows the absolute truth.
Austin therefore noted that it’s not in his place to divulge the case, but he’s very certain that the person who started the rumour about him being a wife abuser will in due time continue to talk.
He wrote, “I am not a violent person. Personally, I detest violence in any form. I have never raised my hand on any woman in my life including my wife.
“Everyone close to this case knows the absolute truth and it is not in my place to divulge it, the one person who started the talk will in due time continue to talk. Let Light lead. – Austin Faani (dated: 28 June 2022 at 21:23)”
Chacha had noted in her statement that she doesn’t want to die or go inexplicably missing, and it’s either she leaves her marriage now alive or she leaves as a corpse. She also apologized to the general public for living a lie all these years in her marriage.
The actress also confirmed that she has relentlessly being on the stand that she and Austin should go their separate ways, adding that the second time in two years she’s coming out to announce her decision to divorce him.
Recall in October 2020, Chacha took to social media to share a video announcing the end of her marriage to her movie director husband.
However, a few days later, she shared another video from a hospital bed disclosing that she had been diagnosed with “Bipolar disorder”, while debunking allegations that her marriage ended due to domestic violence.
Chacha and Mr Austin Faani Ikechukwu have been married for 9 years and share four children together.
